Dr George Hardinge at Gratiot

I was very interested to find your great website.

I have been trying to identify a Dr. George Hardinge I found on Civil War Prisoner Lists at Ancestry. Also found mention of him at Gratiot on Google Books in "Camp & Prison Journal" by Griffin Frost. This fellow is very hard to trace, and I am hoping he's a family member (born Ireland about 1825), came to the US, married, went to Texas and abandoned his family and disappeared forever in the late 1850's. Our fellow was also a Dr. George Hardinge and referred to himself as English. It would be great to find him in Missouri during the 1860's.
