Jim,

After you posted this I started to do some more poking around (thought I gotten everything off of this site) and discovered the Lt. John W. Chase (of both the Natchez Quitman Light Artillery and English's Battery), whom you posted as John S. Chase (I assume that is the way they have it on the CD as there is no John S. Chase in the QLA), was buried in some private cemetary in Natchez and NOT Port Hudson as I had always assumed. That is if I am smart enough to read the order in which the information is listed on Mr. McCaskill's site. I couldn't find him in any of the private cemetaries in Natchez that are listed on line, but that probably means that he doesn't have headstone. That makes 30 burials out of 85, PROGRESS! I am going to go back and see what else I can find later.
