Re: Pension look up

Matt: Don't find Louis/Lewis Benbrook in MS CS Pension Applications.

Do find:

(1) Mary Benbrook, 1916, Adams County. Says her husband was Henry Clay Benbrook of Power's Cavalry.

(2) McGwin Benbrook, 1922. Says he was with Adam's Cavalry.

In MS CS Graves, I find:

BENBROOK, A. D., 16th MS Inf., 1839-1897, b. TN, buried Adam County, MS

BENBROOK, Henry C., MS Art., b. ?, d. 1903, born and buried in Adams County, MS

BENBROOK, Lewis, 4th LA Inf., birth and death dates not stated, born and buried in Adams County, MS

BENBROOK, Wm. G., Breckenridge Guards, 1839-1923, born and buried in Adams County, MS

Booth's LA CS CMSR's says:

Benbrook, Lewis, Pvt. Co. E. 4th Battn. La. Infty. Roll for Aug. 15th to Sept. 1st, 1861, "Sick
in Camp."

Hope this helps! -- Jim Huffman, Gainesville Vols
