Looking for some information on a Pvt William James Green
Co. D 5th Ms. Inf. There was an email a few nights ago that stated that this soldier died at Tanners Ferry, Ga. May 15th 1864, This would have been part of the actions in and around Resaca, Ga. during the Battle of Resaca, Ga.

I don't for some reason have much on this unit or it's actions or placement during the battle. Can anyone confirm this unit being in this area and is there a link to the unit to research the losts at Resaca.
