I'm not sure if we have a connection. My Joseph M. White is the son of George Washington White who was born in 1803 in Virginia. He had a brother named Joseph White (Twin).

The entire family moved to Itawamba County prior to 1860. My great grandfather married Sarah L. Griggs in 1857 in Alcorn County. He was living in this county in 1860 Census. We believe he joined the cause in this county and records indicate he was in Company B (not D) of the 1st Mississippi Infantry. He was captured and sent to Ft. Delaware. I'm not sure of a relative named John V. White. Do you know of any possible connections.
