There were some Crook families in Attala County, MS about the time of the War. They came down from south-central Tennessee around Jack's Creek? I am only vaguely familiar with this family, but they are not 'mine' as they originally came from the Spartanburg District of SC and mine came from the Orangeburg District of SC. No one has been able to connect the two families to my knowledge. I am not familiar with the Vick(s) family. Sorry.
