CW,Mexican War Pension

My GGGrandfather, Captain Henry Myers, served with the 3rd LA Volunteers under Gen. Winfield Scott 1847-48, was a Lt. in the Vicksburg Sharpshooters (militia) when they mustered in and became part of the 12th MS Inf. in 1861, became Capt. and then evidently mustered out in 1862 at the ripe old age of 43. Don't have much more on his activities other than he survived the conflict and died in 1875. I have all the documents used to obtain a pension for his widow Catherine (Voewinkle) Myers for his Mexican War service. She had to work mighty hard since Myers had enlisted in the place of a David Jobson who did not report at the mustering roll call, and signed all his papers with an "X". She was successful in receiving his $8/mo. by finding several comrades who were in their 70's by this time (1890) that remembered Myers as serving for Jobson.
My question is, would she have been eligible to recieve a pension for his Civiil War service? Where can I go to determine if an application for that service was filed?
