I was speaking to my thesis advisor yesterday, and he asked me if I knew of anything about a Union Cavalry officer by the surname of Earl that was operating in the Natchez area. His source was a reference in I believe an unpublished memior and this all the information he had. He would like for me to write up a bio on this guy, but with the little bit of information he gave I do not have a clue. I did ask him if he has a date and I am awaiting an answer. I can't seem to access the CWS&SS lately, so my next stop is the campuses copy of Dyer's unless someone hasa better idea. If I can figure out a starting place writing the bio will be easy. Does any of this ring a bell or does anyone have any ideas??
