41st Miss Inf - Co. H

It is my understanding that Co. H of the 41st Miss Inf was formed out of Pontotoc and Lafeyette Co's, MS. Two relatives, Richard A. Fortescue and John Lewis Mathews of Pontotoc Co., I believe served with Co. H of the 41st. Lore has it that Mathews died in a military hospital in Columbus, MS of measles. Other information is that Fortescue enlisted on 17 March 1862. I am trying to ascertain when Mathews might have died and if Fortescue survived the war, and any other information about Co. H.
