Perhaps you've seen Jim Huffman's post already about Grady Howell's book, "Going to Meet the Yankees" A History of the "Bloody Sixth" Mississippi Infantry, C.S.A." (1981)
I have a copy of that book and did locate Private L.D. Williams' name. However, the book is out of print now and Grady doesn't have any left. I'm sure you can locate a copy through interlibrary loan at you local library.
