Confederate service files are available for Jesse, John W. and Jourdan Broadway/Broadaway. The 1860 census for Mississippi includes records for two Joseph Broadways, one age ten, living in Holmes County, and the other age fifty-five, living in Jasper County. Due to age alone, it would be quite surprising to find either one in Confederate uniform during the war.
