Re: 20th MS Infantry -- Rorer Letters

Jim, I would like to add the Rorer letters to my archives. I have found excellent information for my book from letters such as these for units involved in campaigns in which the 7th Regt. Miss. was also involved. As you know few primary sources exist for many AOT units after Atlanta so having these contemporary accounts help to give perspective to the history.

I have had to draw heavily on letters and diaries other official reports from the 10th Miss., 9th Battn Miss SS, 41st Miss, 45th Miss, 3rd Battn. Miss, 30th Miss, 10th and 19th SC and other sources in the Division and nearby units. I have also been blessed to have letters from other units such as the 33rd Miss. who had relatives in the 7th and 44th Miss.

I agree with George that the transcription is your work as long as you cite the University as the source.
