I cannot help but wonder if this was not a relative of my ggg grandfather
Price (b. 1819) who was born in South Carolina in the Thickety Creek section, near the Spartanburg District. Somewhere I have a complete history of that Turner family way back.
The Guthrie, Turner and Price familes of the area were so intermarried, it was hard to tell who was who. My set left South Carolina and ended up in Arkansas by 1836 where my ancestor was later captured and placed in the Yankee Prison in Little Rock where he died on Feb. 1, 1865.
