Garland,

Thanks for the swift reply. This message also pertains to your email to me. I hope you don't mind. The following information has been researched by me, but has not been 100% confirmed.

George Washington Frazier (9/7/1837 - 10/28/1911) does not have a marker, but does have a headstone that he shares with his wife Louvenie. I think it's about 8-ft tall and is a spire (like the Washington monument). His father was Richardson (or Richerson) Frazier and his grandfather was Lewis Frazier.

William P. Frazier, (Sep. 5 1823, Liberty Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Barbiere’s Btn. Ala. Cav.) was the son of John Andrew Frazier, and Lewis Frazier was his grandfather.

John Lewis Frazier, was a Private in Co. E, Barbiere's AL Cavalry Bn. from 1862-1865. John L. Frazier also previously served in the Second Seminole War as a Private in Nott's Co., Chisholm's AL Militia. John Lewis was the son of Richardson Frazier.

Allen Richardson Frazier (1847 - 1/14/1929), was a Private in Co. C, 20th AL Regmt. His father was John Lewis Frazier.

Also,
Elias S. Smith (1833 - 1918, was Louvenie Frazier's brother) served in Co. K, 48th AL INF Regmt, served 5/2/1862 to 4/9/1865. Two other brothers, William H. and Joshua A. also served, but did not survive the war: William was killed in battle and Joshua died of Typhoid fever in Richmond, VA. The Smiths were from the Peeks Hill area of Benton (now Calhoun) County, but were all originally born in Virginia. Elias is buried in the Argo Baptist Church Cemetery (Believe it or not, my truck had a tire blow out in the parking lot of this cemetery!).

I will see if I can find more Civil War info on my family down in that area. They mostly lived in the north of Jefferson County and in St. Clair County. I don't know how G.W. got set up in Hickory Flats, Benton County (now Tippah), Mississippi, but he returned to St. Clair County, Alabama after the war. I know that northern Mississippi after Shiloh was a prelude to Sherman's distruction of Georgia.

If you want me to email you privately I will do so, just let me know.

Ron,
Ocean Shores, WA
