Re: looking for Confederate Great Great Grandfathe

Geri:

Please purchase their individual service records from the link at the top of this page! Your purchase helps support Jim Martin's many FREE Civil War Message Boards! Thanks!

Checking MS CS Graves Registrations, I find:

"JORDAN, S. H. Mormons Cav. 1846-1929 MS Harr," which means that he was born in MS and buried in Harrison County.

I find no MS CS Grave Registration for Little Vanderpool.

I do not find MS CS Pension Applications for either these men or their wives.

See www.mississippiscv.org for further details about the Grave Registration. Click on the "Research Help" link, then look for the graves/pensions article.

On the same page, you'll find a link for capsule histories of most MS units, as a previous poster indicated.

Hope this helps! -- Jim Huffman, 43rd MS
