Robert,

The date July 10, 1862 is given in this book, Register of the Confederate dead, interred in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Va., published in 1869.

As you suggested, this may be the date he was removed to the Hollywood Cemetery.

I also checked the 1860 census and found the Dr. H. Loften from the obit listed as a Farmer & M.D. living in the Eastern Division of Henrico County, Richmond Post Office.

I would be interested in seeing his photo.
