Samuel H. Jordan was probably born in Lawrence County, he is listed there in the 1850 & 1860 census.
These two family researchers have him listed, but with a different middle name.

Records from the Confederate Soldier's Home at Beauvoir indicate Samuel H. Jordan was a resident at the time of his death (Dec. 11, 1929) and buried in the Beauvoir Confederate Cemetery.
