The Mississippi Civil War Battlefield Commission (Dept. of Archives and History) is trying to locate all significant CW sites in the state. The OR Atlas shows a "Fort Terror" located in east-central Mississippi near the Alabama line. We have been unable to come up with any information on this site. Does anyone know anything about it? I went to where I thought it should be by comparing the topo maps to the Atlas maps but there was nothing there that resembled a fort.
