Thank you - everyone!!!! Who have given me directions/information to/about the monument in Canton for African American Confederate Soldiers.

My Research Project (I am returning to college after an 18 year lapse) deals with free blacks that fought with the confederacy.

If any of you wonderful compatriots have any information, records, sources - on this - I would love to hear about them. If I can use them for primary (first hand accounts) or secondary sources (second hand accounts), I would love to have copies. I will be happy to refund copy fees and postage fees.

I am very interested in a letter written to the "Daily Delta" in New Orleans - by free black Citizens - voluntering to fight for their HOMELAND and their own holdings. I'm am also interested in any correspondense, muster records, pension files - etc. of free Blacks that participated willining with the Confederate Cause.
