ive done some real good research on this battle and the battle deaths from both sides of the engagement, sinse most folks write only about the famous folks in the battle it always bother me sinse ive also been in battle to know not only does the generals fight but also the sgt and pvt too. I came up with a medal of honor winner from the norths side from the mo. unit fighting forrest along hwy 41 now.It is very hard to come up with the actuall names of battle deaths but with the internet it can be done with a few months of looking over data.I also found several unknown buried in the local graveyard here marked unknown and the time and units that these folks where buried, takes a lot of time to get this information, the hardest yet,but its worth it just for me to know.
