I found this last night.

Stephen Decatur Pool Born Mar. 25, 1819

Died Dec. 21, 1901

He may have died in Osyka instead of New Orleans as I said earlier. His wife Caroline Sydney Lockwood Pool died in New Orleans in 1903 at her daughters home.

She was born in Elizabeth City N. C. Nov. 18, 1824 and married Stephen there. They had fourteen children and moved to New Orleans after the war. Sometime in the 1890's the family moved to Osyka to avoid a Yellow Fever Epidemic.

That is about all I know of him and his family. If your organization has any info about Stephen I would like to hear from someone.
