Can anyone help me. Richard Thomas Blackwell lived in Lafayette County at the start of the war. I'm told he served in the 2nd Ms. Cavalry, Co. B as a private. Can anyone verify this and possibly elaborate on it? If so, can you tell me some of the history of his unit? Anything will help. Thanks.
