OK that makes goods sense on the volunteer status.

Joined from desertion???

Like you I have never heard this term. The only thing I can figure is he joined another unit, and reported for at least one muster. He decided for one reason or another he wanted to be in the 7th and left the previous unit, therefore being listed as a deserter. In the CWS&S he is not listed in another unit.

Does the above makes sense?????? LOL LOL LOL
