Jeff,
I would highly recommend "Beneath Torn and Tatteref Flags" by Jeff Giambrone. It's the history of the 38th. Jeff is a regular contributor here and is very knowledgeable on this unit.
Both Otho and Rufus are buried in Holmes County. Otho died in 1929 and Rufus in 1904.
Otho applied for a pension in Holmes County in 1916.
Regards,
Jim
