My GGGrandfather was in the 27th. La. Inf. and while stationed at Camp Norwood he and several others in his co. contracted the measles and died from same.

Does anyone know where in Mississippi Camp Norwood was, what town was it located near and is there any thing left of it. I would like to go there and see where he died.

My GGGrandfather was 41 years old, a Mexicon war vet and the 1st. sgt. of co. D 27th. La.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
