Searching for information about the life and military service of Pvt. Abram B. Reading, who served in Company A (Vicksburg Southrons) of the 21st Mississippi Infantry. he was born about 1842 and is listed as a student at Princeton University in the 1860 U.S. Census. His first name is sometimes spelled "Abraham." He grew up in the household of Cornelius A. Reading of Vicksburg, and he is likely related to cannon manufacturer Abram Beach Reading.
