I have additional information on Joseph Marshall White. There must be more than one. Mine is a great-grandfather who married Amanda Karen Bogard on 3 Mar 1864 in Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi. I have his Civil War papers stating he was from Itawamba County, Mississippi. He lived in Arkansas with his wife Amanda Bogard White and sired three daughters before dying on or about 1775 of fever contracted while in prison during the war. Amanda brought the three young girls to Texas, passing through New Orleans during the yellow fever epidemic of 1778.

I do not know who his parents were, although I can find a Joseph White with a mother Acada White on the 1860 census of Attala County Mississippi. I can find nothing more on her.
