Charles Crosby was born in Chester District, S.C. ca 1832. He married Mary Ann Otis, date unknown. He initially enl in A/'10 S.C. CAV BN 23 Aug 62, which was merged into B/4 S.C. CAV 16 Dec 62; he was present until transferred to F/Hampton Legion Mounted Infantry 6 May 64; he was AWOL on the last existant roll of the company Nov-Dec 64. Crosby was living in Halseyville Township,m Chester County, S.C. per the 1870 Census. Per the family records at Chester County Library, he moved to Mississippi after 1870, and settled near Philadelphia, Neshoba County. Can any one provide me with any information on Crosby?
