Pemberton while at Hazelton to take 2 CO's of MS State Militia Cav and ride on the rear and flanks of Col. Grierson's Raiders. Led a CO. of the 50th TN Inf. at Battle of Raymond. ADC to Gen. Hood. Surrendered at Citronella, AL with Gen. R. Taylor, 5 May 65.

He is in old rural cemetery at Santa Rosa and an attraction on my civil war tour there.
