You suggested I make a request to this message board for anyone who might have access to soldiers' photos. OK, here goes:

REQUEST FOR PHOTOGRAPHS, IF AVAILABLE!

I have four family members (all brothers) who served for the state of Illinois. I have fairly complete information on three of them:

Jonathan Ross Nelson

Private, Infantry, Company G, 11th Regiment

and reinlisted:

Corporal, Infantry, Company F, 98th Regiment

Washington Nelson

Private, Infantry, Company A, 26th Regiment

died near Vicksburg in 1863

Jonathan Nelson (third brother, but also named Jonathan)

Private, Company A, 1st Battalion, Illinois State Militia

William Nelson

Service information unknown, other than he also served for Illinois
