My Great-Great Grandfather was Capt. W J A Boone. I understand that he organized the "DeSoto Grays", paid for their provisions and was mustered into service in Iuka.I would be interested in any history you have of Company D. At some point my grandfather was ill/wounded and resigned his commission. I don't know when or where.
