R.[Rufus] C. Burnes of Itawamba County served with the 28th Miss Cavalry. If anyone is interested, he buried in Fernbank, AL in Ebeneezer Church cemetery. He was my great grandfather. I am looking for others who might be researching him and his family. His father-in law, Jim Lees was also in this unit. (Rufe was married to Arene Lees.) Thanks!
