Anthony,

The John B. Wise I carry on the 2nd Mississippi roster was with Company C, the Town Creek Riflemen, of Itawamba County. No age was listed in his compiled service records. Below is the summary from my website:

"Also see 15th Arkansas Infantry Regiment. May/Jun, 1864 company muster roll indicates "wounded and in hospital" but provides no details as to date of wound or engagment. He was admitted to the hospital in Richmond on 6/10/1864 and furloughed 40-days from 6/18/1864. Did not return to company. Nov/Dec, 1864 muster remarks: "Joined 15th Arkansas Regiment." Additionally I have him joining the regiment on March 1, 1862 enrolling at Verona, Mississippi as a Private. No promotions were noted. No age, occupation, marital status, nor hometown were indicated in his records. For additional information though, you should probably check with his compiled service records after he joined the 15th Arkansas. I did not research those records. Hope this is of some help.
