In Response To: Battle of Harrisburg (Tupelo) ()

At the time of the battle, Tupelo was in Pontotoc County. After the War, Pontotoc and Itawamba Counties were divided and Lee County was formed - with Tupelo as the eventual county seat. Actually, the distance from the battlefield to Pontotoc is about 18-20 miles, so I am wondering what cemetery? The battlefield at Tupelo is very small with a monument and little else. I am not aware of any burials there. If you can get me a cemetery name, I will see if I can find him.
