The Mississippi in the Civil War Message Board

11th MS Cal Perrins Co E

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me. I dont know much about the civil war and all of the ranks, regiments and such, I am a genealogist, and I am trying to locate where my ancestor would be buried. In trying to find him, i am comming accross different numbers and names, and to be honest I am getting lost in it. This is what i know:
I have my ancestor, Robert Franklin Stacy's muster roll record that i bought from the MS state archives that states he was in Co. E. 11th (Perrins) MS Calvary, Private. there are only 2 seperate roll sheets that I have that state the following:
1.) April 1864 Present. Enlisted Cotober 6, 1863 Oktibbeha County, MS CApt. Bookler War.
2.) July and August 1864 absent. enlisted Oct. 6, 1863 Oktibbeha Co, MS J. C. Bookler 3 years of war. Reason for absence: at hospital.

I also have copies of the family bible which state he died in June of 1864. Which confirms the muster rolls more than likely correct because he is listed as absent and in hospital.

What I am trying to do is locate where he would have been in June of 1864 to find where he could possibly be buried. I looked at the website that this message board refrences, and it appears that they were in 2 seperate states in June. Macon, MS in the begining of June 1864, and at Kennesaw Mtn in Georgia at the last part of June 1864. Unfortunatly the family bible does not give an exact date of death, I am assuming because the family was not told an exact date of death, but how would i find a list of injured for this company to see where my Robert F. Stacy could have been wounded at and when. Is there anyone out there that knows any other way to help me locate where he could possibly be. Any help that you may give me would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Sincerely,
