Just received this message from the Tennessee Board. It seems that the plot thickens and it also seems that William Ford was probably from Co.B/C 10th Miss. "Natchez Southerns" from Adams County. We will see what comes from a more detailed search of his Miss. Records.

Mr. Skellie,
My research is primarily in the 2nd TN Cav & the 12th TN Cav. My gggrandfather, George Wm Hall was with the 12th from March 1864 to the end of the war. July 1864 he was promoted from Sgt. to 1st Lt. The reason given in his military records was "since Ford killed". Think it might be the same "Ford"?
Will gladly share all I have if it will help you. Best of luck.
