I found this at the Desoto County, MS USGenWeb site under the 1906 census of Confederate Veterans and Widows.

Last First, MI State of Enl. Company Regiment Age Yr./Enl. Soldier/Widow

Vaiden, Mrs. V. H. VA B 23 71 1861 W

This would lead me to believe that her husband was a member of the 23rd Virginia, Co B.

John, the only Vaden or any spelling like that I can find is a W. A. Vaden in the 23rd Virginia Cavalry.
