I guess I just assumed that Gregg fell back to the ridge one mile from Snake Creek (incidentally, I live within a few hundred yards of that ridge) and probably saw to his brigade being properly aligned for action and that reinforcements like Adam's falling into the rear would be to the rear of a properly aligned brigade in the face of the enemy. My impression was that 3rd Kentucky arrived in time possibly to help forestall a not to aggressive pursuit and Walker arrived much later that night. Please correct any misapprehensions I have about the matter. Also, can you identify the state troop squadron, being local, I would like to try and identify the members if possible,( might be some kin). I must say I like what you are doing, examining easily looked over fine details. I don't know where you are, but I'm local in Raymond and can assist as to matters of topography, etc. if needed.
