Guys, I need your help.

I have a friend in Tennessee who is the second-great-granddaughter of John Bell Hood. She's looking for her great-grandfather, one of his sons. I've hit a snag and can't find anything.

Her grandfather's name was Roland Denmon Hood. His father could be John Bell, Jr., born in 1871 and adopted by a family in Mississippi; Duncan Norbert, born in 1873, and adopted by a family in Maryland; and Oswald, born in 1878, an adopted by a family in Kentucky.

I cannot find any information for these sons beyond census records. Would anyone know who they married and who their children were?

I'm almost certain that I could rule out Oswald. My friend thinks she remembers Duncan's name thrown around a lot when she was a kid, but JB Jr. is also a possiblity.
