I have found him listed in Ancestry's database, but not the NPS site which had me wondering how he is listed.

From family researchers info, Simeon was a younger brother of Carrol. Most of these researchers have Carrol as dying at Vicksburg in November of 1862.
From what I've found he died at Clinton, LA of pneumonia, Nov. 10, 1862 and probably buried among the other unmarked graves in the Clinton Confederate Cemetery.
