I'm looking for any documentation on a confederate soldier named Jesse R Elrod,brn in Hart County,GA in 1823. He was supposed to have been wounded,taken prisoner,then died in a Union makeshift hospital in Vicksburg,MS in 1863 or 1864,then buried in his hometown on Dardanville,Yell County,Arkansas. I have no idea how to go about finding documentation on ANYTHING! HELP!
