He is an ancestor of my husband's. I'm looking for info of him and also his wife,Oneida,who was full blood cherokee. We can't seem to find her parents,we believe they disowned her when she married a white man,but don't have anything other than stories passed down through the family on this. Do you know how I can go about seeing if he was a chaplain in his regiment? This was also a rumour in the family,I've also contacted the United Methodist headquarters,but so far nothing.Any other help you can give me would be much appreciated!
