Emphatically, the "Lady Polk" was NOT a Whitworth. "She" was a rifled Columbiad cast at Tredegar. ca. 6.4-inch bore. See "Confederate Columbus and the Story of the 'Lady Polk'" by John Kelly Ross, Hickman County (KY) Museum.
