Hello. May I suggest you simply erect a memorial in their honor? That might be the easiest to do.
I know all of this troubles you, but you have to remember the times they were in and how our society we have today,
is so different from Civil War times and that which followed. Most of the folks in the South struggled to simply eat during those days.
