Ms. Brenda, I think George, as well as myself, need to clear thngs up a little. Are you saying he carried an actual headstone/grave marker home with him? Or, are you asking if anybody is collecting the information, such as where he found it?
Many times hunters do turn up old cemeteries. I myself have a cousin who found one at night once while coon hunting. He was crawling on his hands and knees through a briar thicket and crawled face to face with an old headstone. He said it was quite an experience :-)
This same man and I share a great-grandfather (to different number of great). He is buried in a cemetery surrounded by hunting club. His stone, his wife's stone and all the other stones, except three have been stolen or destroyed by vandals. I can safely this still hurts the family's of the deceased.
