I am interested in Francis Marion Stevens.
There is a person of that name listed as on the faculty of Oakland College, in Port Gibson, in 1856.
(Oakland College is the site of present day Alcorn State)
I wonder if this Francis M. Stevens in this post is the same person?

My interest is because my GG grandfather, James Augustus Stevens, was the Steward of that College from 1855 until his death in 1857.
I am trying to make a connection between F.M. Stevens and J.A. Stevens...
