Lamar County was part of Marion County. The Lees were in both Marion and Perry Counties before settling in what is now Lamar County. I'm interested in the 27th, as this may well be Papa Lee. We have a "story" here as his sister married a "Yankee" and experienced a lot of harrassment from family and neighbors.
