Got word from a friend of mine that his cousin just donated one of John South Lewis' wartime diaries to the MDAH. John S. Lewis was in CO K, 16th Miss Inf, from Wilkinson County, Miss. He said the diary dates from Feb 10, 1864 up until the time capt. Lewis was captured about 6 months later.
Just thought I would pass this one, in case someone is interested.
