Looking for information on:
James Wilson 1845-1937, served as a water boy during the Civil War. His headstone says "Company D, Davis' MS Cav. CSA" Family lore says he secretly followed his father when he left for war and was discovered too late to send him back home alone so he continued on with his father and served in the same unit. Father's name name is supposed to also be James. The younger James was born in AL and died in Itawamba County, MS. Married to Maryetta McGehee.
Any information appreciated.
