Hello -

I am trying to confirm that Issac Henry Hunter (Co. D, "Yazoo Rangers", Wirt Adams 1st Miss. Cav.) was indeed present during the capture of the Union tinclad USS Petrel and was wounded during that time.

I am also trying to locate and make contact with Robert Williams Crook Jr. in regards to his ancestor, Issac Henry Hunter

Mr. Crook had earlier posted info on the internet re his ancestor being wounded during the capture of the Union tinclad USS Petrel in 1864; and, according to what Mr. Crook posted, this apparently resulted in Issac H. Hunter's hand/arm being amputated.

Any and all help re the CSR/pension docs/etc. for Issac Henry Hunter would be VERY greatly appreciated...!!!!!!
